Posted by admin on Monday, April 29 @ 17:43:11 MST (32 reads)

Fort Atkinson Community Theatre will present "The Brother's Grimm Spectaculathon", a Reader's Theatre production, on Saturday, May 4, at 7:00pm at Cafe Carpe in Fort Atkinson. There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door. Seating is extremely limited, so please call Cafe Carpe at 920-563-9391 to reserve your seat. The FACT Reader's Theatre troupe will attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they will combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and other more obscure stories like Lean Lisa and The Devil's Grandmother. Join us for an evening of wild, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and fun!

Youth FACT presents “The Enchanted Bookshop”

Posted by admin on Wednesday, February 20 @ 18:07:28 MST (98 reads)

Youth FACT presents “The Enchanted Bookshop” on April 12-14!  Featuring a cast of local elementary and middle school children, this charming comedy celebrates the joy of reading in a fresh, fun-filled way!

During the day, A Likely Story may look like any other used bookstore. But at night, it’s a place where magic happens. That’s when the characters inside the books come alive. Six of those characters — Dorothy Gale, Robin Hood, Pollyanna, Sherlock Holmes, Heidi, and Tom Sawyer — long to help Margie, the scatterbrained owner, save her struggling store.  But they’re not allowed to leave the building or be seen by human eyes. So when a pair of smugglers comes looking for a stolen necklace hidden inside one of the books, the characters are torn. Should they warn Margie and risk disappearing forever? Or can they find a way to defeat the crooks without being seen?

Performances will take place at Fort Atkinson High School at the following times:
April 12 at 7pm
April 13 at 7pm
April 14 at 2pm

Tickets: $6.00
