2015 FACT Comstock Scholarships Awarded
ADejong writes "Every year the Fort Atkinson Community Theatre (FACT) awards
one or more Comstock Memorial Scholarships to graduating seniors at Fort
Atkinson High School, planning to pursue major/minor studies in theatre, music (performance,
education), communication arts, dance or technical theatre (set design, costume
design, lighting design). This year we were pleased to award these scholarships
to Samuel Landowski & Capri Gehred-O’Connell.
Samuel Landowski, son of Anthony & Jodi Landowski, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Sam has been active with FACT since he was 6 years old and has participated in productions onstage as an actor and also behind the scenes working on sets and helping run shows. Outside of FACT, Sam has also been an active member of the Fort Atkinson High School theatre & music departments all four years. With plans to double major in Theatre and Journalism, Sam will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison this fall.
Capri Gehred-O’Connell has also been a participant in FACT productions from a young age, beginning as a skunk in a Christmas production and growing to take on lead roles in Youth FACT productions. Throughout her high school years, Capri has been a performer in many musical and stage productions, South High Street Singers, and the FAHS choral department. With plans pursue a degree in theatre while attending college beginning this fall, Capri was awarded a $750 scholarship.
The Fort Atkinson Community Theatre would like to congratulate the recipients of this year’s Comstock Scholarships, and wish them luck in college this fall. "
